Detailed itinerary 6 Days Rwanda Safari:
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Akagera National Park.
Enjoy your breakfast at a hotel or place of residence in Kigali and later, meet our driver guide for a warm welcome and briefing on what your tour covers.
You will set off for a short city tour in Kigali where you will pay a visit to Kigali/Gisozi genocide site to learn what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
After, you will drive northeastwards, the Eastern Province of Rwanda to Akagera National Park and this will take you approximately 2 to 3 hours in a good and comfortable 4×4 safari car.
Arrive early enough to relax, have lunch and in the afternoon/evening you will have a boat cruise along Lake Ihema. And expect to see several hippos, crocodiles, water birds and many others.
Later, you will come back to the lodge to chill, dine and spend a night.

Day 2: Full Day game Viewing in Akagera National Park.
After you have had breakfast, you will embark on full day wildlife exploration in the northern part of Akagera National Park.
Today, expect to see variety of savanna wildlife species and many other unique creatures including the African bush elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, zebras, antelopes, Masai giraffes, birds, warthogs and many others.
You will have enjoyable lunch in the savannas and proceed with your game viewing experience.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Have breakfast early in the morning and later, you will embark on a 4 hour journey to Volcanoes National Park.
You will have lunch along the way and do not miss the breathtaking views of the rolling hills that make Rwanda a true land of a thousand hills.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Get up early in the morning to prepare and take breakfast at your respective safari lodge.
After, you will connect to Kinigi offices for briefing on the dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking and please note that you will be allocated to only one family to trek in a group of 8 people.
The gorilla families to trek in Volcanoes National Park include the Susa A, Hirwa, Bwenge, Ugenda, Umubano, Amahoro, Agashya, Sabyinyo, Kwitonda and Karisimbi.
After the briefing, you will be escorted by park ranger guide and this adventure can take you at least 3-6 hours with an hour for you to strike your imaginations.
However, the number of hours you will spend trekking may depend on your speed of hiking, nature of habitat and where these amazing creatures are.
Because of the nature of this adventure, we advise you to come with adequate drinking water, energy giving snacks and you should be on long sleeved shirt, waterproof hiking boots then have insect repellent, camera with no flashlight and others.
After, you will come back to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 5: Visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village and Gisenyi.
Today, you will be served breakfast and later, you will take part in a thrilling cultural experience while at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village.
You will learn unique cultures, traditions-especially Kinyarwanda traditional marriages and also enjoy the best dances, music performances with a chance to interact with locals.
In the afternoon, you will connect to Gisenyi which is an hour drive for city tour. While here, you will relax at the beach, swim and then
